Bio

Assemblymember Achadjian came to California to complete his education and pursue the American Dream. He served three terms as member of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors. In 2006 Assemblymember Achadjian was appointed by the Governor to the California Coastal Commission and served until his election to the Assembly. He was a member of the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital board of directors, chairman of San Luis Obispo's French Hospital and on the San Luis Obispo County Fair Board from 1992–99. Since 2008, Assemblymember Achadjian has been a mentor to college students through the Executive Partners Leadership Council at Cal Poly's Orfalea College of Business. He has also served as charter board member of the San Luis Obispo Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation and member of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Advisory Council.
